My name is Oleg. My foreign friends usually identify me as Russian, my
Russian friends - as Canadian, German or a person with a mixed cultural
background. I am however more inclined towards that
Russian-living-abroad version, for the entire majority of my prominent
compatriots have spent the great part of their lives overseas and it
hardly did any harm to their whether scientific, humanitarian or
business pursuits. Since 2003, when I left Saint-Petersburg, I've worked
in Toronto, studied in Montreal, learned a great deal of life lessons
in London. Finally I relocated to Berlin, where I intend to live happily
with my wife and kids. I will, if family circumstances and the
officials at the local Ausländerbehoerdestan permit, reside in this city
in years to come, for in Berlin culture is fascinating, people are
friendly, bikes are many and salaries are sufficient.
